Support Agreements
Technical Support can be purchased from iScan that enables you to get quick and definitive answers to any problem that should arise with your SimpleDOX system. In addition, customers will recieve free Software Updates for the version they have purchased as long as they are currently enrolled in an active Support Agreement.
When you purchase Technical Support, you will be automatically purchasing it for every license on your account. We calculate your contract cost using the tables provided below, factoring in each SimpleDOX License and User License in the process.
The terms for Support Contracts are as follows:
Support Costs for SimpleDOX Licenses:
SimpleDOX Support Contracts come in one year bundles, and cost 15% of the total purchase price of all qualifying products bought to date (including items bought at the same time as the Support Contract). If you purchase $1,000.00 worth of SimpleDOX User Licenses (for example), purchasing a new Support Contract would cost $150.00.
Qualifying products consist of all SimpleDOX Software Licenses (Standard and Professional), and any User Licenses.
As you purchase new items, the cost of supporting that item through your currently active support contracts will be retroactively added to the cost of purchase. Using the same example above, if six months later you purchased an additional $1,000.00 worth of SimpleDOX User Licenses, you would effectively be charged an extra 7.5% of that cost ($75.00), to cover the remaining six months of your already active Support Contract. (Six months being half of the year-long contract, therefore half of the normal 15% charge is assessed)

The prices above may not reflect the price you'll pay for support: these costs assume a "Worst Case Scenario" where each user is purchased seperately (with the 1 User License upgrade) and all licenses are purchased at the same time.
The iScan website automatically reduces the Support Cost to reflect lowered prices when users are purchased as part of a larger package (such as when you buy a 5 User License package instead of 5 individual User License packages), and it also automatically calculates the percentage of the Support cost that you should pay given the amount of time remaining in your current Support Contract.
For example, if you had a SimpleDOX License with a year long Support Contract, and three months in you purchase a 1 User License Upgrade, you would pay only for the 9 remaining months of the Support Contract to get support for that new User License (thus reducing what you would have had to pay for the full term of support).
